Today’s weather: Monsoon continues to move at a fast pace. IMD i.e. India Meteorological Department has predicted rain in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh in the coming 2-3 hours. Kerala, which is facing heavy destruction, is not likely to get any relief from rain at the moment. Heavy rain may occur in the state on Wednesday as well. Rain is also predicted in the capital Delhi during the next 5 days.

The IMD said on Wednesday that fresh satellite images indicate that light to moderate rains with thunderstorms may occur over East Madhya Pradesh, Northwest Odisha, East Vidarbha, South Andaman Islands and Gangetic West Bengal during the next 3 hours. Rains are also expected over East Uttar Pradesh, Northwest Uttar Pradesh, Delhi-NCR, East Haryana, Lakshadweep and North Chhattisgarh.

The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of rain in West, Central, North West, South Peninsular, East and Northeast India during the next 5 days. During this period, heavy rain is expected in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat region, Chhattisgarh till August 4, Marathwada on August 3 and 4, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan till August 4, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh till August 2, East Uttar Pradesh till August 1.
Heavy rains are likely over Kerala, Mahe, coastal and south interior Karnataka till August 4, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, north interior Karnataka till August 2, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal till August 2.
