Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna, best known for playing the role of India’s original superhero Shaktiman, thrilled fans by announcing the return of the iconic character to Indian screens. Speaking to ANI on Monday, the actor opened up about his deep connection with the role and his eagerness to play it again. Mukesh Khanna shared this is a dress from within me. Personally I feel this costume comes from within me… I performed well as Shaktimaan because this character comes from within me. Acting means confidence. When I’m shooting, I forget about the camera. I am more happy than others to become Shaktiman again.”

Shaktimaan was a famous show of the 90s
Mukesh Khanna, best known for his iconic role as Shaktimaan, was recently seen in his superhero costume and announced that he is making a comeback as Shaktimaan. This comes amid reports of a film being made on the 90s television show and rumors of Ranveer Singh being cast as the new Shaktimaan in the film. Mukesh has opposed the idea and has not accepted Ranveer Singh as Shaktimaan and actress Vaibhavi MacDonald, who plays Geeta Biswas in the show, recently said the same in an interview.

Mukesh Khanna seen in Shaktimaan’s costume
Meanwhile, Mukesh Khanna, on being seen in Shaktimaan’s costume, told ANI in an interview, “This is the costume from within me…I personally also feel, in my mind, this costume has come from within me. ..I did well in Shaktimaan because it came from within me…Acting means confidence. When I am shooting I forget about the camera…I want to become Shaktimaan again. I am happier than others.” He further said, “I am carrying out my duty which I started in 1997 and which continued till 2005.
People trolled the actor after Mukesh Khanna became Shaktimaan again.
I feel that my work should reach the masses in 2027 because today’s generation is running blind. They have to stop him and tell him to catch his breath…” However, 90s kids aren’t too happy about this as they feel it’s time for him to move on from the character and let someone else “Imagine after a few matches, Shaktimaan is admitted to the hospital,” said one user, adding, “Don’t ruin Shaktimaan.” Wrote, “Dude stuck in the past Is. Someone needs to speak sense to him.”
