People are facing severe air quality in the national capital Delhi. The country’s worst air quality index was recorded in Delhi just a day earlier. There was also dense fog in NCR during this period. Visibility has also reduced significantly due to dense fog.

On Wednesday, the air quality index turned ‘severe’ for the first time this season, while the central pollution watchdog attributed the decline to “unprecedentedly dense” fog and described it as “an event”.
