The ICC has released a schedule to promote women’s cricket for 2025-2029. Which has been named Future Tours Programme. This initiative will be part of the ICC Women’s Championship cycle, under which 44 ODI series will be played between women cricketers within the next 4 years.

This initiative will be part of the ICC Women’s Championship cycle, under which 44 ODI series will be played between women cricketers within the next 4 years. But the most interesting thing about this initiative is that an ICC tournament will be organized for women cricketers every year from 2025-2029.

This program has been set keeping the 2029 Women’s Cricket World Cup in mind. 11 teams will participate in it. Zimbabwe will be debuting in this tournament. Which will contribute to the growth of women’s cricket at the global level. Within the next four years, every team will play four ODI series at home and four on foreign soil. In this way a total of 44 series will be played. Each series will be of 3 matches, meaning a total of 132 matches will be played between all the teams.

FTP will also ensure that more and more matches can be played in women’s international cricket within the next four years. Let us tell you that this program will start after the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup. More than 400 international matches will be played between women’s cricket teams from 2025-2029.

There will be a Women’s Cricket World Cup in 2025 which India is going to host. Women’s T20 World Cup will be played in 2026. Till now the Champions Trophy was organized only in men’s cricket, but for the first time in 2027, there will be a race to win the Champions Trophy between women’s cricket teams also. The T20 World Cup will be played again in 2028. Which Australia has won 6 times so far.
