IMD Rain Alert: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rains in several states. The weather agency has also issued a yellow alert for Mumbai and Delhi. “Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places over Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Gujarat. Besides, heavy to very heavy rainfall is also very likely at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha,” the IMD said.
The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Delhi for two days. During this period, heavy rains have been warned in many areas of the city. The Regional Meteorological Forecast Center said, “Light to moderate rains with light thunder and lightning are likely in North Delhi, North-West Delhi, West Delhi, South-West Delhi, NCR (Gurugram, Manesar) Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Rajound, Assandh, Safidon, Panipat.”

According to the Mumbai Regional Meteorological Department, there will be a yellow alert with heavy rains likely at isolated places in the state capital.
