Mangaluru International Airport handled more than two lakh passengers in October, which is a new record for passenger traffic at this airport. An official gave this information on Thursday.
The airport handled 2,02,892 passengers in October, which included 1,38,902 domestic and 63,990 international passengers, an airport spokesperson said. Thus, on an average a total of 6,500 passengers travel here every day.
In September this year, there was 1,89,247 passenger traffic while in August this figure was 1,99,818. The airport also recorded a total of 1,538 aircraft movements in October, which included 1,091 domestic, 403 international and 44 general aviation flights, the spokesperson said.
