At the same time, sporadic rains have increased humidity in many parts of the state. It is being said that the monsoon has slowed down due to weakening in the Arabian Sea. However, there is a possibility of getting some relief from rain in the capital Bhopal.
Usually, the monsoon arrives in Madhya Pradesh around 15 June, but it has not entered the state yet.
It is being said that the monsoon is currently stuck in Gujarat and the reason for this is the weakening of the system in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. Now there are possibilities that the monsoon may arrive in the state on 29 June.
Monsoon may enter the state through Balaghat and Dindori. According to Free Press Journal, Divya E Surendran, senior scientist at the Meteorological Department in Bhopal, said, ‘For now, pre-monsoon activities will continue in the state.
Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur divisions are likely to receive rain on Monday. Whereas, districts like Niwari and Chhatarpur will continue to face heatwave.’
Where has the monsoon reached
IMD has said that conditions are favorable for further advancement of monsoon in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh and some more parts of North West Bay of Bengal, Bihar.
The department has said on Monday that there may be sporadic or moderate rainfall in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh during the next 5 days. Strong winds may also blow during this period.
