According to the tipster, OnePlus will use a hot forging process for the ceramic back plate. It has also been learned that the back panel will be white. However, it may not be pure white but a shade of it.

The tipster says that the inspiration for using ceramic came from the ceramic version of the Bugatti Veyron. In particular, he mentioned that the back ceramic surface of the plate will have a different texture.

DCS reported that this will be the first smartphone to come with a metal middle frame + ceramic back plate build.
