New DelhiWhat was feared happened, India’s no for the Champions Trophy brought troubles to Pakistan. The PCB i.e. Pakistan Cricket Board, which is dreaming of improving its financial condition with the Champions Trophy, is facing a current of 440 volts because if India does not go to Pakistan, the board will suffer a huge loss in terms of revenue. That is why Pakistan is now planning to go to the International Court.
According to sources, ICC has informed PCB through mail about India not coming to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. Along with this, ICC has also made it clear that due to security reasons, Team India cannot tour Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. The Indian government is not approving the team for this. The ICC has now started working on the hybrid model of the tournament.
Pakistan may boycott the tournament
According to sources, after receiving this information from ICC, Pakistan’s anger is at its peak. The Pakistan government has asked the PCB to take a strong stand against this. PCB is no longer ready to conduct this tournament on hybrid model. The Pakistan Cricket Board is so hurt by India’s refusal that it has also made a plan that if the tournament is conducted under the hybrid model or the entire tournament is shifted, then they will boycott the Champions Trophy. In such a situation, Pakistan Board may suffer a loss of billions.
The wait of 16 years has increased further
The last time the Indian team went on Pakistan tour was in the year 2008. And since 2012-13, there has been no bilateral series between the two countries. The situation is so bad that last year the Asia Cup had to be held on the hybrid model. Now the big question is that we can go to Pakistan in other sports and Pakistan can come to India, then what is the reason in cricket that both the countries shy away from going to each other’s place. ICC tournament was the only platform where matches between the two teams could be seen, now that too seems to be coming to a halt.
