Malayalam OTT releases this week(4 to 10 November), South Indian cinema dominated the digital space this week with an impressive lineup of multilingual releases. From Jr NTR’s much-awaited Devara: Part 1 to superstar Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyaan, the streaming platforms are offering a feast of entertainment across genres. What makes this week special is the pan India star confluence, with films from talented artists from across the country being made accessible to the Malayalam speaking audience through quality dubbing and subtitling.

Vishwam (Prime Video)

The Telugu film focuses on a man who returns to his country to protect his father’s honour. After reaching here, he falls in love with Sameera while uncovering a terrorist plot. He goes deep into the terrorist case. The film stars Kavya Thapar, Gopichand, Pragati Mahavadi, Vennela Kishore, Vijaykrishna Naresh and Jisshu Sengupta in lead roles. Vishwam is currently streaming on Prime Video.

Devra: Part 1 (Netflix) – November 8, 2024

Post-RRR sensation Jr NTR returns with Bollywood legends Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor in this massive action spectacle. Netflix has acquired the digital rights for this multilingual release, making it available in Malayalam along with Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada versions. This is Jr NTR’s first solo venture after the global success of RRR, which promises high-octane action sequences and compelling drama.

Vettaiyaan (Prime Video) – November 8, 2024

A powerhouse collaboration brings together veteran Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan, supported by Malayalam cinema’s own Fahadh Faasil and Manju Warrier. Directed by TJ Gyanvel, this action-drama stars an ensemble cast including Rana Daggubati. After its successful theatrical run starting October 10, the film finds its digital home on Prime Video, giving Malayalam audiences a chance to experience this multi-starrer in their favorite language.

Ajayante Randam Motionam (Disney+ Hotstar) – November 8, 2024

While official confirmation is pending, Disney+ Hotstar has reportedly acquired the streaming rights of this eagerly awaited film. Directed by Jitin Lal, the film is expected to premiere digitally on November 8, although fans are awaiting an official announcement from the production team and streaming platform.

Sattam En Kaiyil (Netflix) – November 8, 2024

This gripping thriller, written by Chachi and JM Raja, follows a protagonist’s desperate attempts to hide a dead body in his car and escape a complicated situation after he is arrested for drunk driving. The film will be available in multiple languages ​​including Malayalam, offering audiences a tense story full of unexpected twists.

Lucky Bashkar (Netflix) – Coming Soon

Malayalam heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan is working with Meenakshi Choudhary in this Tamil original, which will soon be streamed on Netflix. Although the exact release date is still under wraps, the film will be available in multiple languages ​​including Malayalam, Hindi and English.
