Controversy erupted in Rajasthan politics on Thursday when famous spiritual guru Rambhadracharya claimed that it was on his suggestion that the state got a Brahmin Chief Minister. Rambhadracharya made this claim while talking to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, who was attending the ongoing Ramkatha at Vidyadhar Nagar Stadium in Jaipur.
Speaking directly to Chief Minister Sharma, Rambhadracharya said, “I was also present at your swearing-in ceremony. At that time, there was a discussion on who should hand over the reins of Rajasthan. I suggested to the people above that this time the state The leadership should be handed over to a Brahmin.”

Rambhadracharya further said, “People had warned me that this might upset Vasundhara Raje. But I told them, ‘We will make her say this ourselves.'”
