PM Modi Kisan Samman LIVE: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Tuesday after assuming office for the third consecutive time.
After expressing gratitude to the people in the public meeting here, he reached Dashashwamedh Ghat and worshiped the Ganga. After worshiping the Ganga, he participated in the Ganga Aarti. He appeared emotional while staying in the Aarti for about an hour.
In the public meeting, PM Modi gave ‘gifts’ to 9.27 crore farmers as the 17th installment of Samman Nidhi of Rs 20 thousand crore and 30 thousand women of self-help groups in the form of ‘Krishi Sakhi’ certificates.
This program was organized in Mehndiganj Madai near Rajatalab in the form of Kisan Sammelan. On reaching here, PM Modi was the first to welcome him. PM Modi said that this time the country has given an unprecedented mandate.
This has created history. It is rarely seen in the democratic countries of the country that an elected government returns for the third time. This time the people of India have also done this. It happened in India 60 years ago.
Addressing the public meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Our mothers and sisters are present here in such a large number.
It is impossible to imagine farming without mothers and sisters. Therefore, now the role of mothers and sisters is being expanded in giving a new direction to farming. Like Namo Drone Didi, Krishi Sakhi program is one such effort.
We have seen the work of sisters as Asha workers. We have seen the role of sisters in creating Digital India as Bank Sakhis. Now we will see farming getting new strength in the form of Krishi Sakhi.
Today more than 30 thousand support groups have been given certificates as Krishi Sakhi. This scheme has been started in 12 states right now. In the coming time, thousands of groups will be linked to it across the country.
This campaign will also help in creating 3 crore Lakhpati Didis.” The Prime Minister will stay in Kashi for 17 hours. After Ganga Aarti, he will reach Kashi Vishwanath Dham.
After worshiping Baba Vishwanath there, he will go to Bareka Guest House by road. He will stay overnight in the guest house itself. There is a possibility of him inspecting some project in the city even at night.
