Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has written a letter to the newly elected US President Donald Trump, congratulating him on his victory and expressing confidence that under his leadership both the countries will deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The Congress leader said, “I congratulate you on being elected as the 47th President of America. People have expressed confidence in your vision for the future.” He said India and America have a ”historic friendship” which is based on our commitment to democratic values.
Rahul Gandhi wrote this letter to Trump on November 7 in which he said, “We are confident that under your leadership our countries will deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.” I also hope that we will continue to work towards expanding opportunities for both Indians and Americans.” The former Congress president wrote in the letter, ”I congratulate you for a second term as President of the United States. I wish you all the best.
