Samsung has finally launched the Samsung Galaxy Ring at its second Unpacked event. The ring has been introduced along with the new Galaxy Z foldable smartphone. The South Korean brand’s first smart ring comes with features like health tracking and sleep monitoring. This ring is available in three finishes and up to 13 sizes. The lightweight design of the Galaxy Ring ranges from 2.3 grams to 3.0 grams. With a water resistant build, the battery life of this ring can last up to 7 days on a single charge. The price of Samsung Galaxy Ring is $399 (approximately Rs 34,000). This ring will be available in select markets from July 10 Pre-Order It is available for Rs 1999 and will go on sale from July 24. The device is offered in Titanium Black, Titanium Silver and Titanium Gold colour options.

Samsung Galaxy Ring Specifications

Samsung Galaxy Ring comes in 9 screen sizes ranging from 5 to 13. The wearable comes with a sizing kit that helps you make the right choice from the 9 options. It has 8MB of memory and is equipped with a PPG sensor that helps users detect irregular rhythm of their heartbeat. It has a temperature sensor and an accelerometer sensor. This smartwatch works with the Samsung Health app. It supports Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. Galaxy Ring is paired with a Samsung Galaxy smartphone with Android 11.0 or at least 1.5GB of storage.

Galaxy Ring comes with Galaxy AI features, including energy score and wellness tips. The ring provides detailed health reports and advice to the wearer with multiple metrics. It has a sleep AI algorithm that provides data on sleep patterns and better habits. Along with sleep score and snoring analysis, the ring provides sleep metrics such as movement during sleep, sleep latency, and heart and respiratory rates. With cycle tracking, menstrual cycles can be tracked by skin temperature monitoring.

Samsung Galaxy Ring is designed to provide instant notifications about heart rate through heart rate alerts via the Samsung Health app. Auto workout detection and inactive alerts are other health-focused features available on the device. Apart from this, the ring can be used to click photos or reject alarms on the paired Galaxy smartphone with a few taps. Users can check the location of the Galaxy Ring through a Galaxy smartphone with Find My Ring on Samsung Find. The ring has an IP68 rating which ensures protection from water and sweat. The ring is 10 ATM water resistance certified. It has a titanium grade 5 build.

Talking about the dimensions, the length of the Galaxy Ring is 7.0mm, width 2.6mm. The size 5 option weighs 2.3 grams and size 13 weighs 3.0 grams. The base variant size 5 of Galaxy Ring has an 18mAh battery, while the larger 13 size has a 23.5mAh battery. The charging case that comes with it provides the charging status. The charging case has a 361mAh battery which claims 7 days of battery on a single charge. At the same time, the battery goes from 0 to 40 percent in just 30 minutes of charging.
