Bhopal . Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan called for first nation, then caste and accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of trying to divide the country. Speaking to reporters in Bhopal, Shivraj emphasized that if he joins, he will win and said that India is a land of equality and unity. He said that instead of doing divisive politics, the focus should be on national unity. The BJP leader said, first nation, then caste. Rahul Gandhi, how much will you distribute? These are divisive people, who discriminate and divide the country for political gains.
Pointing to Rahul’s comments regarding caste census, he said, he is not well-wisher of the country. They criticize India on foreign soil for the sake of votes. Shivraj said, we all are sons of Mother India. There is no question of discrimination. It is Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP government that has ensured social justice for all sections of the society, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) and economically weaker sections.
He said those trying to sow the seeds of division will ultimately fail. Reiterating his call for unity and collectivity, Shivraj said, if we join, we will win. The Union Minister expressed confidence in the chances of BJP’s victory in Jharkhand. He claimed that a wave of change is being witnessed in the state, which will pave the way for the formation of the BJP government.
Shivraj accused the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-Congress alliance in Jharkhand of misgovernance, corruption and breaking the public trust. He said that the JMM-Congress alliance invited infiltrators to Jharkhand to increase its vote bank. Shivraj expressed hope that the new double-engine government of BJP in Jharkhand will establish new patterns of development. He addressed various rallies organized for BJP candidate Ramakant Bhargava from Budhni Assembly seat on the last day of campaigning for the by-election.
