Voting in Jhunjhunu, Dausa, Deoli-Uniara, Khinvsar, Chaurasi, Salumber and Ramgarh assembly seats of the state started at 7 am on Wednesday and will continue till 6 pm. Counting of votes will take place on November 23.
A total of 69 candidates are in the fray for these seven seats, out of which 10 are women and 59 are men. A total of 19.37 lakh voters are eligible to exercise their franchise on these seven seats.
More than nine thousand security personnel have been deployed to strengthen the security arrangements during voting. Currently, the Bharatiya Janata Party has 114 MLAs, Congress 65, Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP) three, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) two, Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) one and eight independent MLAs in the 200-seat state assembly. .
