WPL 2025: Harmanpreet-Mandhana retained, but Rana-Poonam left, game played before WPL auction

New Delhi. After IPL, the retained list of Women’s Premier League i.e. WPL has also arrived. Big names like Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, Shefali Verma, Meg Lanning and Harmanpreet Kaur have been retained by their franchise for the next season. Sneh Rana, Poonam Yadav, Heather Knight have been released by their teams. UP Warriors have retained maximum 15 players.

WPL defending champion Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Thursday announced the retention of 14 players. These include captain Smriti Mandhana, star batsman Perry and wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh. Mumbai Indians have also retained 14 players. Mumbai has retained players like captain Harmanpreet, Nate Sciver Brunt, Hayley Mathews, Sajna Sajeevan, Seika Ishaq.

Apart from Shefali, Delhi Capitals has retained players like Jemimah Rodrigues, Radha Yadav and Arundhati Reddy. Among the foreign players, the team has retained Lanning, South Africa’s Marijne Kapp, Jess Jonassen, Alice Capsey and Annabel Sutherland. The list of retained players is as follows:

Delhi Capitals: Indian players retained: Jemimah Rodrigues, Shefali Verma, Radha Yadav, Arundhati Reddy, Shikha Pandey, Tania Bhatia, Meenu Mani, Sneha Deepti, Titas Sadhu. Retained foreign players: Meg Lanning, Marijne Kapp, Jess Jonassen, Alice Capsey, Annabel Sutherland.

Royal Challengers Bangalore: Indian players retained: Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, Sabbineni Meghna, Shreyanka Patil, Asha Shobhana, Renuka Singh, Ekta Bisht, Kanika Ahuja. Retained foreign players: Kate Cross, Daniel Watt Hodge, Alice Perry, Georgia Wareham, Sophie Devine, Sophie Molineau.

Mumbai Indians: Indian players retained: Harmanpreet Kaur, Shabnim Ismail, Yastika Bhatia, Pooja Vastrakar, Sajna Sajeevan, Seika Ishaq, Amanjot Kaur, Jintimani Kalita, Keerthana Balakrishnan and Amandeep Kaur. Retained foreign players: Nat Sciver-Brunt, Hayley Matthews, Amelia Kerr, Shabnim Ismail, Chloe Tryon.
