The smartwatch has a 9-layer safety positioning system. The company claims that this system uses AI-enhanced location tracking, ensuring accurate indoor positioning, covering more than 4,000 major shopping centers and train stations.
In this, parents can mark a specific area in advance and if the child goes out of that radius, the watch sends an alert. Similarly, a route can be fixed in advance and if the smartwatch diverts from that travel route, the watch informs the parents. The watch keeps a record of location history for up to 90 days.
The Xiaomi Mitu Kids Phone Watch 7A has a wide-angle 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The company claims that it provides clear video calling.
The watch comes with 4G LTE support. The Xiaomi smartwatch has a 1.4-inch TFT display with 48 MB of RAM and 256 MB of inbuilt storage.
It has a 950mAh battery, which the company claims gives long battery life with low-power chips and an optimized power-saving algorithm (2.0). Without giving exact numbers, the company has claimed that the smartwatch can last a full day on a full charge.
The smartwatch is 20 meters waterproof. It also has the ability to track some sports for children, such as skipping rope, running or long jump, etc. The smartwatch comes equipped with Xiao Ai Classmate developed by Xiaomi, which is a voice assistant for children.
